MOTOR-CYCLE PILLION RIDING.
Sir,—l would like to know whether any accidents liavo occurred in Ibis Oily owing to molor-cyclo pillion riding. 1 am ono of the. oldest, motor-cyclists m this* district, and havo ridden many miles with my niece on tho carrier of my machine', and have never had tho slightest inconvenience or accident, by so doing. Ido not see the object of such by-law. To my mind it will not servo a useful puipiiso, but Will instead deprive many of tho pleasure of trips into the country which it now affords. Til my opinion a passenger on the , back gives the motor greater road adhesion, and consequently more pleasure than when riding alone. This matter requires tho attention of motor-cycling clubs, who should strongly object to a restriction wbich serves no public interest, but penalises a section of tho community by depriving thorn of a legitimate pleasure.—l am, etc-., , MIDDLE-AGED • MOTO.U-CYCLIST.
