SAWMILL HANDS CEASE WORK. By Tclograph-Prens Association. _■ Creymouth. March 21. The sawmill hands at the Stale mine ceased work on Friday Inst in support or a claim for an increase of one shilling a day, from' Us. to 125., owing to the increased cost of living. The manager of tho mill, which supplies the coal mines.with timber, referred the matter of a corresponding increase in prices to tho,- general manager, all timber supplies, being under contract.
