The Sydney "Sunday _ Times" announces that the marriage of Lieut George L. Bacon, 2nd Mounted Rifles, Whangamomona, New Zealand, eldest son of Mr. W. W. Bacon, of Stratfield, with Miss Elsie M. Levett, of Mascot, was celebrated at St. Matthew's Church on January 29. The Rev. AV. W. Price officiated; Miss Tester and Miss Eileen Bacon were the bridesmaids, and Messrs R. J. Marks and W. Tedder attended the.bridegroom.
Mrs. Geo. Nicol, of Picton, is spending a few days in Greytown, and sang at a military concert at Featherston camp.
Mrs. Haslam (Island Bay) is visiting Miss Bee, in Mastertou.
