THE SYDNEY BOAT. : _ This week's Sydney boat-the Riverina— is due to arrive at 9 o'clock thi6 morning, and will berth at Queen's Wharf No. 1 South. The. Kivcrina lofb Sydney about 2 oeloek on Thursday, and she is bringing 100 passengers and some 820 tons of cargo for disclmrge here. She will leave for Lyttelton on Tuesday evening, and will, it 18 anticipated, connect with the first express to Duncdin. , The fog which settled down last even-' ing somewhat delayed the C. and D. liner Mnkarini, which did not find her way into the stream from Port Ahiiriri until just on 9 o clock. The liner left London on December M, and came via Australian ports. Shewill berth early this mprning at the Glasgow_ Wharf So. 2. With the southern mails the Union Company s cargo steamer Kahika arrived from Lyttslton shortly before 10 o'clock last evening. The vessel northed at Queen's tt harf No. 1 North, and after discharging mails left again, immediately for Westport. The Blackball Coal Company's collier Ngaherc came off the Patent Slip on Saturday after having been thoroughly overhauled. She left for Greyniouth on Saturday night. The Komate left for Westport on Saturday night to load for Wellington. She Is due back here on Tuesday.

Rain having impeded tho discharging of the F. and S. liner Opawa, which was scheduled to leave Auckland yesterday for Wellington, sho will not now be hero until Thursday next.

A transformation has been carried out on the steamer Te Anau, states the Ohri6tchurch "Sun." The vessel's accommodation has been pulled out, and in place of the saloon a spacious hatch has been installed, which makes four very fine hatches, equipped with good winches end derricks. This will make the vessel a fine cargo ship. When attempting to out away the familiar teak wood house on her after deck, which was thought to be constructed of timber only, it was found to tho dismay of those employed on the work that the house was a steel structure, panelled inside "and outside with timber. The To Anau is due at Lyttelton on Wednesday, apd it is understood she .is going to enter Wie East Coast cargo service at a later date. She will most likely take up the Bluff to Auckland running, which up till lately has. been carried out by the Wanaka.

The Westport Harbour Board's dredge Eileen Ward arrived from Westport on Saturday to undergo overhaul here.

The liner R-uahine arrived safely at London on Thursday last. The liner left Wellington oh..February 1. '

Laden with timber, the Opouri arrived fearly yesterday morning from Greymouth. She is to leave again this evening for Lyttelton.
