WELLINGTON EAST SECTION. The adjourned annual meeting of B Company, National Reserve (Wellington East), was held on Thursday evening, Major A. Voitch presiding over an attendance of 36 ; The financial statement showed a credit balance of 10s. 9'd., tho expenditure being £21 10s 3d.' It .was decided' to ask headquarters to forward a balance-sheet showing the use to whioh the eubscription of 2s. per annum from each member is put. Major Veitch declined nomination to tho chairmanship, but stated that ho would continue his connection with the company. The following committee was elected Captain Kupli (chairman), Lieuts. Jones and Partridge, Sergt.Major Nealc, Q.M.S. Tanner (secretary and treasurer), Ptes. Taylor and Osmond. ! PETONE COMPANY Lieut. Anderson was in charge last evening at the parade of - the Petone Unit of tlie National Reserve. _ Sorgt.Major Stewart attended, and instructed the platoon in a course.of manual: drill, and later, Corpls. Smith and Robinson, each in charge of a. squad, put the men through a course of musketry drill. Corpl. Smith was promoted to be sergeant, and Lce.-Corpl. Bond to 1m corporal 1
