GIRLS' COLLEGE

SWIMMING SPORTS.

The Girls' College was favoured with unusually fine weather for the annual swimming sports held on Thursday. The entries were so numerous that the races had to be continued yesterday, when .the championship was decided. It is now hekl by Miss Kitty Pownall. The starters were: Miss Joan Mackenzie, games mistress, and Miss Heath, drill instructress, assisted by members of the staff. Mr. Litchficld and Mr. H. Adams acted as judges. Mr. Shields gave a short exhibition of skilful swimmwK, and was loudly applauded.
