'.Her property in New South Wales is valued at £802,000. , Her bequests include a number of pictures and other art 1 treasures, including four reputed Gainsboroughs, and three Conrad Martins, to th© National Art Gallery. [Mrs. Hall was the widow of the late Walter Hall, of Sydney, who 1911, leaving a fortune of £3,000,000, and his widow as legatee. Mrs. Hall, in addition to many other benefactions, gave' i 11,000,000 in' trust; • therincome from which is to be applied in perpetuity to the relief of poverty. advance* ment of the Protestant' religion, the advancement of education, and for the neheral benefit, of the community not Falling under the preceding heads. Onethird of the income is primarily for the benefit'of women and children. 'Half or the total income from the trust is devoted to New South Wales, a quarter to Victoria, and a quarter to Queens land.l
