The filial game between Hutt (Keir and Hendry) and, Newtown (Sexton and Wylie) ended in a win for the latter pair, the score being 22—15. The game 'was an excellent ono throughout. Both the leads showed rattling good form, Sexton in particular winning tho admiration of the bank for his fine drawing capacity, whilst "Jock" Keir played well enough both 011 Wednesday and yesterday to be regarded as a discovery. Hutt led for the first few heads, but once Newtown got 111 front tliey never lost' that, position again, thanks to accuracy of play and sound generalship. Both pairs were very heartily cheered at the' conclusion of the (?ame, and in the course of a happy little reunion in the pavilion the ■Newtown Club was - congratulated on its third championship win 'in 1 three weeks. ■ .

The win of Sexton and Wylie is a moritorious one, that reflects credit on the club they represent—Newtown—as both players figured in the rink last week which won the Rink Championship of the district. By their win in the Pairs, the club has "done the "hat trick," winning the championship Singles (J. Brackenridge), rinks (Prince, Spiers, Sexton, and Wylie), and tho pairs (Sexton and W.rlie). The club's record is further enhanced this season by its representatives—Davis (2), Duff, and Laughton—having won the rink championship at the Dominion Association's tournament at Christohurch last month.
