The Now Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agcncy Co., Ltd., report having held a clearing sale'on account of Mr. E. "Waters, Opaki, ou* Tuesday. Prices for medium and light 'were about on a par with lost "week's rates, while heavy sheep showed an advance. Fat :lainbs: 1100 were penned, the quality being medium.. There • was tho ueu-al attendance of export buyers, and prices were firm at last week's Tates. Best, 21s. to E3s.; extra, to 30s. 3d.; medium to good, 18s. : to 205.; others, to Ife.
Pigs: There was a small yarding of fats; competition was keen, prioes showing an advancc on last week's prices. There was a medium yarding of stores;' for which sale was dull.
Every flock-owner knows that when the lambs are free from vermin and their wool clean .and in good order, the result of his dipping has been a success. This was undoubtedly tho case when lambs'wool from the flock Of Mr. 0. H. Druce, of "Wairiki," Kumeroa, H. 8., created a World's Record at London Wool Sales.
Mr. Druce writes;—"l am glad to let you know that this is.the eighth season running now that I have used your Powder Dip on my flock here. I find it excellent in all respects.' I may say that I had the honour of creating a World's Record with my lambs' wool last year in London.' Lambs were dinned with. Quib- ■ ell's Dip, making 19d. per lb."
