A sum of ,£6O 15s. was taken at the Maori village on the Mastcrton Park on the occasion of the carnival last week.

Harvest thanksgiving services wore hold in Knox Church, Masterton, on Sunday. A large quantity of fruit and vegetables used for decorating the church is to bo sent the Presbyterian Orphanage at Wellington. The Wairarapa and Wellington scTiools played their annual cricket match on the Masterton grounds on Saturday last. Wairarapa were successful in the first innings by oo runs. The feature of the match was the bowl-, ing of, Walter Hoar, of the Wairarapa team, who took live wickets for fivo runs. Tho Wellington boys were hospitably entertained, and returned to their homes on Monday.
