MANOEUVRES OF THE ENEMY By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright petrograd, March 12. The Germans have established a battery of naval guns near Schlock to face a position remote from the main line of advance on Riga. This suggests that they are preparing to shell the Russian warships which hitherto have checked the German attempts to follow the coast rond towards Riga. The Germans made frequent but unsuccessful attempts to cross'the Dvina to securo advanced positions in view of the impending close of the winter season. ATTACK BY RUSSIANS. . TRENCHES CAPTURED. (Rec. March 13, 8.15 p.m.) patrograd, March 12. 'A Russian communique states: "Wo attacked the village of Letatche, on thfe Dniester, and captured the trenches."
