EXPERIENCE IN THE TRENCHES By Telegraph—Press Asßociation-Copyrtelit Sydnay, March 13. ' Mr. Harry Gullett (an Australian war correspondent), in a lecture on trench warfare, said: —"After over a year's experience at the front, I never saw a hostile German. I looked through periscopes over tho fire parapets a thousand times, but saw nothing. Soldier® have had a similar experience. One may be in the trenches six months, and be killed or sent home wounded, and never set eyes on a living enemy. Only prisoners and" dead enemies are seen. ■
