CARTERTON NOTES
Mr. R. M'Donald, a well-k.'i'xvn farmer, of Parkvale, has leased liis property, as lie is retiring from farming.. The E-oman Catholic people of Car- N terton have arranged to hold a cunasrt on St. Patrick's Ivight, when, in addition to local talent, singers will lie present from the Featherstbn rump arid also from Wellington. Mr. T. Sparks, formerly cf Carterton, and now of. Wairoa, H. 8., was 011 a visit, to Carterton 011 Saturday. A block of 1000 acres near the Woodside railway station is being fuiteyed into sections of from 130 to 300 tfus, and will be auctioned early in April. The Carterton Public Library and Reading Room were fumigated on Saturday, and the public schools were also fumigated during the week.
