Lord Montagu of Beaulieu who is a leading authority on aviation, raised a debate in the House of Lords by saying that- he believed that Germany had over forty Zoppolins'Miud that none had been damaged in the twenty-five raids on Britain. The anti-aircraft guns were feeble, and their shells burst 2000 ft. below the raiders. 1 Ho demanded the creation of a Ministry of Aviation, as aerial warfare was developing tremendously. The Marquis *oi Lansdowno said he recognised that there were serious shortcomings, but he had great hopes iu I,ord Derby's Committee of Naval and Military Advisors. Lord Beresford urged wholesale aeroplane attacks on the Zeppejin sheds. Inoidentally he advised Major Winston Churchill to consult a specialist, for his mentality was affected.
