By Telegraph—Press Association. - Auckland, M'arch 10. - Bala on 'Change;—Waihi, 345. 9d. . ■ EOSS GOLDFIELDS. • The mine superintendent of the Eoss , Goldfields reports as follows on the work «t. the mine for the week ending March 2:— The east drive off No. 19 ! notrh drive lias ndvance-1 40 feet-, malting a total .progress of 80 feet; The blue wash disclosed showed fair grade values ih the rougher upper section of the drive, but the value of the whole contents averaged Is. Id. per truck,' the gold won being fine. The underlying brown terrace bottom which had dipped to the sollar boards is now. rising, and showing, two feet up the face.- The removal of tho pillarß around No. 7 and 11 north drives, and blocking around "Nob. 12 and 14 south drives, aie proceeding.
