1 'A meeting of tho executive of ths Soldiers' Club was held yesterday, when' various matters connected with the club trere dealt with. ' Complaints having been made eon-* cerning the presence of uninvited lady, visitors at tnc Soldiers' Club ro6m irt J p.vdney Street, it was resolyed that in future no' lady visitors shall he admit-' tcu to the club.except.those invited by ( the hostess for the evening. ■ This rule is to come into .force at once, and will ' ba strictly enforced. 'It is hoped that all friends of the Soldiers' Room will.' j-'o-operate with the executive by .strict-'' ly observing the rule. The treasurer, Mrs. Henry Hall, whol has rendered excellent service to the" cub, was granted three weeks' leave of absence. Donations and monthly con* trlbutions falling due should be sent to' the usual address, 70 Hill Street. Tha •Soldiers' Club iu Wellington is maim tamed entirely by voluntary contribu-s, iions, and in view of tho fact that it' • welcomes all soldiers from every part of New. Zealand, free of charge, it says something for its good management *aa well as for the generosity of contributors, that it has been able to' maintain the standard of the entertainment provided for tho men. "Your work is splendid," was the text of one of the y many letters of appreciation received at .yesterday's'meeting. > A cordial invitation was extended tqi the many new drafts of men now in. camp, who may not yet liave found their way to tho Svdney Street Club.
