I The Rotorua County Council, which, ' on receipt of the Recruiting Board's circular, decided that canvassing for recruits was not within its province, held a special meeting to reconsider the question on Friday afternoon in consequence of'having received a letter 011 the subject from the Riglit Hon. the Primo Minister, as chairman of the Recruiting Board. It was decided that the council was now prepared to assist the Recruiting Board as far as possible, and to co-oporate with the Recruiting Committee set up By the Rotorua centre of the Patriotic and War Distress Relief Association.
