AN INDICTMENT
THE GALLIPOLI CAMPAIGN By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright (Rec. March 8, 0.55 a.m.) London, March 7, Mr. Edwin Oliver, whose book "Ordered by Battle" is now in its twentyfourth thousand, has issued a new introduction, which is an outspoken indictment of the Coalition Government and Mr. Asquith's method of wor-mak-ing, and instances "the hasty impulse with which the Gallipoli campaign was launched, one of the greatest ana most daring in British history. Seldom has the gallantry of troops been more conspicuous, but tho expedition was improperly supported. The Government survived the failure because the nation had been habituated to misfortune. The most tragic aspeot of the whole affair wa3 that England was dragged so low by politicians that it was prepared to accept, even welcome, this unparalleled and humiliating failure,",.
