A British steamer lias brought to Piraeus, Greece 54 of the crow of the Italian steamer Giava, 2631 tons gross, sunk by an Austrian submarine, which fired forty shots without giving any warning. The submarine refused to help the survivorsj and her crew looted the Giava. As no periscope was seen, it is believed the Germans are utilising the new sub-aqueous periscope.
