— DISTRICT STAFF APPOINTMENTS. The following appointments and transfers of officers in the Wellington Military District are announced:— Lieut. H. Martyn-Roberts, N.Z.G.A.. is appointed commander of No. 6 Group, with headquarters at Palmerston North. Lieut. J. Thomson is transferred from Palmerston North to Wellington, and is appointed area officer of Nds. 17 and'lß Areas. _ He will also act as adjutant, sth (Wellington) Regiment, in addition to his duties as are'a officer. Staff Sergt.-Major J. J. Ryan, N.Z. Permanent Staff, is transferred from Wellington for duty at District Headquarters. Lieut. C. W. Mellor, sth Resiment, is appointed area officer, Nos. 19 and 20 Areas, Wellington.
