BURGLARS ABOUT
' ! On Tuesday' afternoon last the residence of Mrs! Leese, in Owen Street, Wellington South, was entered whilst the place was unoccupied, and several articles of jewellory were stolen. The thief' entered by a back bedroom window; and secured from a cabinet a diamond and sapphire ring, a gold cameo brooch', titrquoipe and pea(rl brooch, and a bamboo-shaped gold bangle. .'The lock was also wrenched from the door of a locked drawer, which contained nothing but papers. The police are making investigations.
