ANNOUNCEMENT Bl 7 STATE . PREMIER. , Sydney, March 1. The Premier (Mr. Holinan),' regarding the referendum on the early closing of hotels, stated-"that the Bill would apply only for' the war period, and tho State would revert to existing conditions immediately peace is declared. REFERENDUM NEXT MONTH. (Rec. March 1, 11.25 p.m.) Sydney, March 1. It is anticipated that the early closing referendum will be taken at the end of April.- It will provide for the voting of any hour from six to eleven o'clock, both inclusive. The following resolution was unanimously. passed at the annual meeting of the No. 0 District Lodge of the Order of Good Templars;— ' "That this annual meeting of the Wellington District Lodge, No. 5, 1.0. G.T., learns \witli pleasure of the movement that is on foot for securing tho early closing of the liquor bars of tho Dominion during the currency of the war; wishes the promoters success in their efforts, and pledges itself to render all the assistance possible; and urges the Government to legislate accordingly, at tho earliest opportunity."
