MASTERTON NEWS
Building operations have been fairly animated in Mastorton during tho last few months, and several important contracts aro shortly to be let. Two up-to-date picture palaces are about to be provided. One bankruptcy was registered in tho Wairarapa during the month of February. At the annual meeting of subscribers to the Mastorton Technical School tlio retiring managers —Messrs. J. M. Coradine, C. E. Danieli, W. H. Jackson, and J. W. Blackman —were re-elected. Mr. A. W. Hogg represents the Education Board. The Mayoress of Masterton and several members of the Lady Liverpool Commitee proceeded to Trentham oil Tuesday, and ■ distributed gift parcels among the Wairarapa members of the reinforcements that are shortly leaving for the front. The Wairarapa quota for the Fourteenth Reinforcements has been filled. The men will leave for Trentham on Tuesday next.
