METHODIST CONFERENCE
By Telegraph—Press Association. Auckland, February 28. The Methodist Conference made provision for chaplains serving at the fiont, as recommended by the committee. It was resolved that a letter of greetinc; bo sent to chaplains awl all Methodists in tlie Expeditionary Forces —between 3000 and 4000 men; also that lette-s of sympathy he sent to all Metliodist ivomen bereaved by the war. , An application from the Rev. Mr. Spenco to become a supernumerary owing to failing health was agreed to ivifcli regret. Chaplain-Major Lnxford's application to lipcoine a supernumerary •was granted. Tho Revs. G-. Marshall, T. Jones, and W. Slado wero made supernumeraries for one year, and the Revs J. Blight and F. ,W. Newbold wero continued as supernumeraries.
