A meeting of tlio Ladies' Auxiliary of the Y.M.O.A. was hold in the Association Buildings .yesterday afternoon to make arrangements for coming month in connection ivith the Y.M.C.A. Triangle. Mrs. Low presided. Tho different speakers emphasised the great desire which all felt to do as much as possible for the welfare of the soldiers who are at the front, and the idea of the Triangle had been started for the purpose of adding to the funds for supplying comforts and small luxuries to the men who were fighting for their country. Miss Lawson pointed out that though they would be selling several kinds of goods winch were to be met with in the shops, They did not wish to undersell, and she strongly urged that every precaution should bo taken to avoid doing so by making inquiries and instituting comparisons. Upon this point the ladies of the auxiliary agreed. Tho following ladies will bo in charge of the room in Miss Maxwell's Buildings on Friday and Saturday:—Friday morning: Mesdames Bennett and_Fossette; afternoon, Mrs. and Miss Webb; evening, Mrs. Rest and Miss Thompson. Saturday morning, Mrs. Montague and Mrs. Waterhouse; afternoon, Mrs. ICreeft, Mrs. Thompson, and Miss Steel. Contributions of fruit, vegetables, and flowers would be gladly received, and as the 10th Reinforcements will be leaving shortly, gifts of cakes, etc., for tuck-boxes, will .be much appreciated.. The auxiliary wishes to thank everyone who contributed gifts \or money since the Triangle was started.
Mrs. White (Gro.vtown) is spending a jew days with Mrs. A. M. Johnson.
Mrs. Donald Donald (Masterton) is visiting Wellington.
Great success attended the efforts of the Anti-German League at the recent Patriotic Exhibition. The number of members enrolled was 1016, showing the keen interest taken in the movement by the public.
Mrs. Spencer Board (Masterton) arrived' in "Wellington, yesterday with ler daughter, wlio is leaving for England by the Botorua. Mrs. Gascoigne Beard is also leaving by the same steamer.
Mrs. Duncan Glasgow (Stratford) and her two nieces, the Misoes Hogg, leave by the Rotorua for England.
Miss Phoebe Myers wishes to acknowledge contributions of literature for the Langham Soldiers' Hostel from Misses Allan, Baruett, and Goodbehero, Mesdames Atkins, Devine and Kelly.
Mrs. W. J. Day and. daughter, of Palmerston, are staying at Barrett's Hotel.
Miss Chalmers, of Pict-on, who has been the guest of Miss Maxton, Greytown, left for Wellington last week.
Mrs. Hork, who has been staying with. Mrs. G. Scllars in Masterton, arrived in Wellington yesterday to see her daughter away b.v the llotorua.

Mrs. Hornsby (Mayoress of Carteiton) and Mrs. Murray arrive in Weilington to-day to attend the Countess of Liverpool Conference.
Puring ]\ov 4fty in Christcliurch the Mayoress (Mrs. J. P. Luke), who returned to Wellington yesterday, saw much of the Red Cross work t'hich is Clone in that city, and has been much impressed by the excellence and thoroughness of its organisation. Beforo leaving for the nortli Mrs. Luke visited the hospitals in Christchureh, and was also present earlier in the week at the laying of the foundation-stone of the Chalmers Ward for chrome eases at the Christchureh Hospital.
