ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES
AN INQUEST. Mr. D. G. A. Cooper, S.M., held an inquest at tlio Magistrate's Court yestorday afternoon into the circumstances connected with the death of Arthur I'tiy Waller, who was killed on the steamer Aparima. It is presumed that the fatality occurred while the vessel was lying at the wharf in Lyttclton, but the body was not discovered until after the vovago to Wellington I had commenced. Deceased was a son of Captain Waller, harbourmaster at .New Plymouth. Dr. Gilmer stated that death was duo to fracture of the skull, and the nature of tlio injury was consistent with fl the theory that do. ceased had been struck by a wiie hawser when looking out of a porthole.
