WAIRARAPA TROTTING CLUB
The annual meeting of tho South Wairai'apa Trotting Club was held ou clay evening, Mr. C. J. Beard in the chair. The report was of a satisfactory uaturo. It showed the stakes last year as .£SOO, and the same is to be given this year. The sum of ,£lO5 was donated to the patriotic funds. One of tho stewards, Mr. M. Auderson had gone to the front, and the clerk of the coarse, Mr. AV. York, had left tho district. The report and balance-sheet were adopted. . The following officers were elected President, Dr. AY. Bey; vice-presidents, Sir W. C. Buchanan, Messrs. N. Morison, AV. A. and T. Grace, M. Lyon, H. Adamson, Iraie Te AVhaite, F. V. Kempton, H. Humphries, I' 1 - J. White, and J. ]?. Thompson; judge, Mr. H. Morison; clerk of scales, Mr. H. AValden; starter and assistnnt Messrs. I'J. J. Eaison aud AV. Gates; handicapper, Mr. J. H. Pollock; time-keopors. Messrs. J. 0. Hnyward, J. Cro*s, and AV. Armstrong; treasurer, Cr. 17. AV. Bicknoll; auditor, Mr. .T. Cross; stewards, Messrs. C. J. Beard, E. J. Raison, A. M'Phee, S. Poison, W. W. Bicknoll, J. Cross, C. Williams, A. Tork, and J, F. Thompson; Protest Committee, Messrs. H. Adamson, B. J. Eaison, J. Cross, and A. M'Phee.
