RECEPTION ON MONDAY AFTER- ' " ...NOON. The Mayor (Mr. J. P. Luke) is tendering a reception to Captain .W. J. Ha'rSliam, V.C., in the Council Chamber 011 Monday afternoon 'at 5.15 o'clock. The Mayor has arranged that hour because it will permit a large number of the sports bodies being present. Captain Hardliam was for a number of .years a member of the Management Committee of the Wellington Rugby Union, and was associated with various sports bodies in Wellington.
