Permission having been obtained from the City Council, the committee of the Soldiers' Hostel intend holding a salo of .produce, fruit, flowers, and "Anzac" buttons in the streets on Friday next, March 3. The Patriotic Society, through its secretary, Mr. J. Lewis, has granted tho use of boxes, etc., and offered the services of their own band, beside!; personal assistance, which has b.een much appreciated. The llutt ladies have donated 15s. per week from their produce shop to bo spent in eggs and vegetables, and they and the Upper Hutt patriotic people are sending in donations for 'Anzac" Remembrance Day, as March 3 will le termed. All returned soldiers are requested to communicate with the hon. secretary, Mrs. lJoden, of 22 Sydnoy Street, with a view 'to assisting on that day. An error wiis made by the secretary in crediting ;t promised donation if £20 to the Patriotic Calto Shop, instead of to Misses Cooper and Moss's patriotic 1 Hau-or stalL
