FORTNIGHTLY MEETING. 'Hie Mayor (Mr. J.. P. Luke), Councillors W. Hildreth, 11. A. Wright, W. J Thompson, T. Bush, W. H. Bennett, J. Fuller, j;* Hutchesou, G. Frost, W. H. P. Barber, A. M. F. Luckio and J. Godber, were present at tho fortnightly meeting of the Wellington City Council held last, evening. Tho following recommendations of the Finance Committee were adopted: "That a lease of certain land 011 the Hutt Road bo granted to the Onslow Borough Council for the erection of a fire station, the rental to be a peppercorn one, and the lease to contain a condition that tho land shall revert to tho corporation at any time tho council shall determine."
