EASTBOURNE BOROUGH

MEETING OF THE COUNCIL.

At the last meeting of the Eastbourno Borough Council the following .wore present: The Mayor (Mr. J. P. Kelly), Councillors Pilcner, Foley, Levi, Russell, Morris, and Macpherson. The report of the Ferry Board showed that the business done during the month of January was very satisfactory, the receipts from passenger traffic being the highest yet recorded for any one month since the service was taken over.

• Permission was received from the Harbour Board_ to orect notices on the foreshore warning persons against the practice of riding horseo along the beaches.

Accounts amounting to £920 2s. 2d, were passed for payment.
