London advices state that, -under cover, of tlie guns of tho warships, Russian transports are landing large forces 011 the Armenian coast seventy miles east, of Trebizond, against a feeble resistance. The Russian troops are being transported from Batuni, where they have been in readiness for several months'. The fact that they were not used in the earlier stages of the campaign against Turkish Aripenia leads to the belief that the Grand Duke Nicholas nas a fresli army to pursue on egg rpssive campaign against tho Turks in Armenia, and will attempt to drive tlieim towards Constantinople and the British in Mesopotamia. The Russians on the Black Sea littoral are chasing the Turks at the rate of twenty miles daily, threatening Trebizond, which is the only bar to Russian dominance in that region.
