At the last meeting of tho City Council, it was decided that Do street telephones should be used in Wellington except those under the control of tho City Council. ibis decision does not meet with tho approval of the Wellington Carriers' union, whose president and secrotary on tho .By-Laws Commifctoo of the City Council, asking for tho exemption of its telephone on tho Grey Street stand from the operation of the City Council's decision, ilio council to arrange for tlie payment for the same by adding the required amount to tho license feos paid by members of tho union. Tho committee waa also interviewed by Quoroo and Jlargroavos, carriers outside tho union, who heartily approvo of tho council's action in making the street tclcphouos available to all carriois.
