ANNUAL MEETING HUTT UNIT.

The first annual, meeting of the Lower tlutt Roserve was held on Thursday evening. Mr. H. Baldwin (the Mayor) presided. The balance-sheet, sliowiug a small .credit balance, was adopted! The resignation of Mr. 11. Bell (secretary) was received with regret and appreciation of his services was recorded. Mi - . Baldwin and tho 0.C. ; and nonioms. were elected an Executive' Committee. Regret was expressed that Major Wilford was rosiguiug on account of his undertaking a recruiting tour, and tho meeting placed on record Major Wilford's services to tho platoon. Mr. Parker, who had acted as honorary instructor in signaling, was thanked for his services, and congratulated on tho results he had obtained. Tile miniature rifle range is now in full swing. Drill and signalling will be held on Thursday evenings, and shooting practice on' both Wednesdays and Thursdays. On February 23 tile Hutt will fire off a return match, with Petone, at the Drill Hall, Lower Hutt. PETONE UNIT. At last evening's parade of the Potono Unit, Lieut, Anderson being tho 0.C., there was a much better attendance than usual. Scrgt.-Major Stewart instructed in platoon and squad drill. It was announced that a team had been selected to compete against the Hutt Unit in a shooting match on Wednesday next. The team is as under:—Platoon-Sergt. Reeve, Corpls. Robinson and Bond, Lce.-Corpl. Morgan, Ptes. Maxwell, Wilkinson, Goodman, J. B. Smith, Mudge, Morrison, Shanks, and Robertson. Tho annual meeting of the linit will be held next Friday evening at tho conclusion of the parade,
