Messrs. Foster mcl Rowlands, president and secretary respectively of the Scottish Society of Now Zealand, have approached the City Council's Reserves Committee, requesting the froo use of tiie Basin Reserve for the purpose of a Caledonian sports meeting on Easter Monday. The intention is that tlio whole of the net proceeds shall ho handed over to one or other of the patriotic funds. The committee will rccoinmcud the council to accede to tlio request.
