A very enjoyable picnic was held by the stalls ot the Valyati:>n and Public Health Departments at Day's Bay on Wednesday. The sports events resulted us under: —75 Yards Married ■ Men's Race: C. J. Lovatt, 1; J. O'Loary, 2. 7o Yards Ladies' Kacc: Miss V. AVa'lker, I; Miss 0. AYakoman, 2; Miss I. Isaacs, !i (all of the Health Department). Girls' Ilace (under 14): Mavis Halliday, 1; Lisasie Mowat,_2; Bello Halliday, 3. 75 .Yards Swimming Race (men): ]\ M'Loughliii, l.j.Von Keisenberg, 2; J. AY. Jenkins, 3. In a cricket match tho lady players scorod an easy win against the men.
