WON BY WANGANUI BOWLING ' CLUB. In perfect weather the annual contest between the Wellington, Wanganrai, and Hutt Bowling Clubs was played on the Wellington Club's green throughout yesterday, honours finally resting with the Wanganui Club, who'.concluded their final game against, Wellington triumphantly in the dark. Yosterday was the ninth time the Cup has been played for. The record is as f0110w51.903 and 1909, Hutt Club • '1910, Wanganui Club; 1911, 1912, 1913' Wellington Club; 1914, Hutt Club : Ipltj, Wellington Club; 1916, Wanganui Club. !Next year's games will be played at Wanganui. This vcrv pleasant fixture was drawn to a close last evening by a "social," held in the Wellington Club's pavilion. Several toasts were honoured, including that ol the "Visiting Bowlers,".who in reply dwelt upon the hospitable treatment they had received in Wellington, and the keen pleasure experienced in playing the various games. Among those present were Mr. W. G. Duthie, son of the donor of the Cup. Messrs. W. G. and J. Duthie were also present at the _ luncheon held at the pavilion, when fitbijig references were made to the memory of the late Hon. J. Duthie, who in donating the handsome oup had given them all so much pleasure, and had strengthened the social bonds between the clubs of which he had been an honoured i member. At the "social" in the evening vocal items were contributed by Messrs. E. J. Hill, Hugh Wright, H. Hodges, and T. Wood.
