ANOTHER PROCLAMATION' By Telegraph—Press Association—Oocyiipht London, February l(i. A proclamation prohibits'the importation, except under license, of paper making materials, and periodicals exceeding sixteen pages (except single copies, sent by post); also of tobacco, cigars, cigarettes, furniture woods, and hardwoods. Another proclamation prohibits British vessels starting on any voyage without a license. TAXINC AMUSEMENTS, (Rec. February 17, 5.25 p.m.) London, February 16. The Chancellor of tho Exclijquer (Mr. It. M'Kenna) lias discussod the question "of taxing amusements, with Sir George Alexander (of St. James's Theatre), the representatives.of the kinema. industry, the football, and turf representatives. The result of the oonferenco has not been disclosed.
