» By Telegraph,—(Special Correspondent.) \ Napier, February 15. At a meeting of creditors in the bankrupt estate of B. E. Davis, motor salesman, of Hastings, held to-day, a statement was presented showing an apparent surplus of £361 10s. Id. The D.O.A. said tho surplus was only on paper, the only asset being furniture valued at £06. A cross-examination of the bankrupt was suggested, and it was alleged that proper books had not been kept, and tile meeting unanimously decided to request the Assignee to refer the matter to tho Crown Prosecutor to ascertain whether there were grounds for prosecuting bankrupt for breaches of the Act.
