LOWER HUTT COURT
At the Lower Hutt court yesterday, before Messrs. F. R. Hogarth aud J. Gudbv, J.P.'e, Clarence Hobbs, who had caused considerable trouble to tlio police by giving a wrong name, was lined 10s., with Ts. costs, for riding a bicycle without a light. William Heyes was convicted and ordered to pay 7s. court costs for driving a horse and cart without a light. For riding bicycles without lights, William Arthur Huun aud A. Hulroe were each fined 55., and costs 7s. Judgment by default was given in the following undefended civil cases:—H: V. Westbury v. H. L. Ogdcn, £6 14s. 4d.; same v. 11. Fuller, £4 125., oosts
