A NEW ZEALAND DIVISION
EXPEDITIONARY FORCE REORGANISED A THIRD BRIGADE ADDED
The Minister of Defence (the Hon. u. Allen) informed a reporter yesterday that, the New Zealand Forces at the front had been reorganised. "Cabinet.," he said, "has agreed to the creation of a New Zealand Division. This means the formation of a third brigado out of the infantry reinforcements, and the other -accumulations of infantry who are now available at the front. The question of reinforcements for the new brigade is under consideration, ac the present time. It is not anticipated that it will be necessary to call for any more men at each four-weekly period,' because there are some indications that - tho present total number .of reinforcements will bo- sufficient. There will be some more required for the infantry and probably a smaller number for some of the other units. It should be a- cause of satisfaction that New Zealand has now a division of her own at the front. Hitherto there has been an Australian and New Zealand Division combined. Now the Australians are heiDg utilised for an extra division, and we are creating a divi-, sion of our own." This means an addition of over 4000 to the strength of the main body.
