THE WEATHER
SUMMARY AND FORECAST AT 4 P.M. YESTERDAY. Present indications are for east to south ' east winds, strong to gale, and squally, unsettled and colder weather generally. Heavy rain is probable in the northern and Kr*it Coast districts, and passing showers elsewhere. Barometer /all in the north, but is due to ilso everywhere shortly. Strong south-easterly winds prevailed on Saturday, and rain Ic!l in tile East Coast districts. Conditions improved somewhat on Sunday, but eloudinecs has increased again to-day.
