On Friday afternoon the local staff of the Wellington Telegraph Office assembled to bid farewell to Mr. H. P. Wyatt, who has occupied the position of assistant-supervisor for the past tliroo years, and has now been promoted to lie supervisor at Oliristchureh. Mr. . Wyatt was congratulated on his pro- ; motion, and wished all kinds of good luck by his fellow-officers. At tho . Wellington Bowling Club, the same evening, Mr. H. J. ]j. Ledger (president) said farewell to Mr. Wyatt in the presence of some fifty bowlers, remarking that the club was losing a fine bowler, and a very good fellow, both of which qualifications would be appreciated in Christchurch and on the green of the Christchurch Club. Mr. Wyatt, in thanking- Mr. Ledger and the members of the club, said he was sorry to > have to leave Wellington, but hoped : that lie would come back some day.
