CONCERT AT TRENTHAM CAMP
: At the Church of England's Institute J at 'Trentham Camp a concert was given ' by the King's Theatre Orchestra, asr sisted by Mrs. Mitchell. There was a good attendance, and the. entertainment was highly apineciated by all present. Colonel Tracy, C.F.N.Z., was in the chair. The orchestra, under Mr. A. fi. Jerome, rendered Laj velli's "Bridal Rose," "Fletcher's "Humoures.-jue," and "The Doge's March," frorjif "The Merchant of Ven- ' ; icc," with, splendid effect. The violin r solos, "V- Trisle" and "Concavello j Sereuad*,.i _ by Miss Ruby M'Donald, . were heartily applauded, as were the. 5 cornet solos "Crossing the Bar" and "The _ Rosary," by Mr. J.Parker. Mrs. Mit- . chcll sang "She is Far from tJie Land," . and had to add an encore, "Mother Maehrco" ; and Mr. P. S. Latham re--1 cited Gordon's "Voice from the Bush," _ and, in response to a vociferous demand, . Kipling's "Mulholland's Contract." 3 Arrangements are being made to give _ another concert at an early date. 1 ' = i
