Very heavy supplies of local pip fruits is the outstanding featured the local market for tlio past week, pears in particular being-in abundance. The monthly shipment of Fiji bahanaß arrived per Talunc to Auckland, and Kamona to Wellington. The fruit landed hero in shocking condition being for the better part boiled and overripe, sales resulting in very serious losses tu all parties concerned. Vegetables are in good supply, values, if anything, being easier. Fresh eggs are firm. & Yesterday's approximate values were: —American oranges, 17s. 6d. case; American lemons, 12s. Gd. case; piner apples, Bs. to 10s. case; passion fruit, | 7s. quarter-case; bananas, 3d. to ss. case; dessert pears, 3s. to 4s. case; dessert apples. 4s. Gd. to 6s. case; plums, 3s. to ss. half-case; peaches, 2s. 6d. to . 6s. half-case; nectarines, 3s. to 4s. 6d. ! half-case; apricots, 7s. to 9s. half-case; tomatoes, 2s. to 4s. half-case; grapes, Od. 'to lid. per pound; raspberries, 4a. . to 4s. 6d. bucket.
