CHAMBERS OF COMMERCE ALERT. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.! Auckland, February 11. At a meeting of tho Council of the Auckland Chamber of Commerce, a resolution was received from tho Associated Chambers of Commerce, of Australia to tho effect that the present time was opportune to consider tho best methods of bringing British manufacturers into closer touch with Australian markets, and generally diverting to Great Britain tho trade hitherto done with manufacturers outside of the Empire. It was resolved to reply that the council was alive to the importance of the subject, and would do all in its power to give effect to tho principle affirmed in the resolution.
