FREE REFRESHMENT FOR PICTURE PATRONS
LATEST NO VELTY AT ' 'THE MOVIES." No entertaining art in the world's history has ever attained such rapid prominence as has tho motion picture. Every month sees fresh literature printed upon tho subject. Every year sees a fresh crop of kincina. houses built. Every day sees some fresh idea destined to still further popularise this widelypotronised relaxation.^ . The newest innovation for the comfort of-picture patrons is to be inaugurated at The Empress and Everybody's Theatres next week. Commencing on Monday, all dress circle patrons are to be supplisd free, of charge with morning or afternoon tea, as tlva case 'may be. A novel point about the idea, apart from its being gratis, is the fact that the patrons will have their cup of tea brought to their seat, thus enjoying tho refreshment while viewing the programme. The management expect to receive a satisfactory response (especially from the feminine element) to this effort to add to tho enjoyment of "the people's entertainment," known in America, the homo of tho art, as "the movies."
