The official lii-o stock statistics: of New Soutli AValcs for the year- ended June 30, 1915, slioiv that horses lothl 733,298; cattle, 2,477,224 milkers 426,107); sheep, 27,298,843; limbs, 5,699,517; pigs, 286,052. Comparing f.lic figures with the last previous statistics;,^'hiitl those for the d'ear; ended December 31, 1913, the returns' show the following decreases:— "Horses, 12,872; cattle, 345,446; milkers, 174,253; sheep, 3,170,073; lambs, 8,681,790; pigs, 2038. The decreases ore largely the result of the droughtexperienced between the two periods.
