The Minister -•of Internal Affairs lias been requested -"•■'by the Government to;make the ilccos- . ,sary arrangements so that some reliable .'.and competent officer at each bureau •will receive such inquiries and convey • them to the proper quarter, and on. receiving an official reply in each case :,;.cpmmunicate it to the person who'made /inquiries." .. The Government, Sir. Massey added ■ 'yesterday, had not yet, been able to conclude what tliey considered satis-' .'factory . arrangements;,- for bringing .these bureaux .into' operation. He ■,-would not be able to make an announcement on the subject for a few days, although. as he had stated, they were "proceeding with the project. As veryhappened, ' however, lines. •pectcl difficulties arose, and these •would take some little time to remove.
