The Dominion Foresters' Conference passod a resolution strongly protesting against the State-subsidised National Provident Fund, as at present constituted \ and administered,, whereby Friendly Societies are taxed to keep up the Department which is drawing its incmbeni from the same source as the societies, look''to, to supply members to carry oii their work, and asking Government hnd Parliament to either withdraw all 'uubsidy to the National Provident Fund or to give the same measure of assistance to Friendly Societies. ' . '
